Our workshops and courses are designed for anyone to take part - you don’t have to have any experience with clay or you can be returning to a much loved hobby.

Have-a-go wheel throwing
Always wanted to say ‘I’ve done that…’
Our customers often tell us they’d love just to have a go on a pottery wheel! So, we are making their dreams come true and now offering wheel throwing taster sessions.
This one-off 2 hour session is designed for absolute beginners at the wheel. We talk you through the steps and support you to throw a small pot (or two if you’re lucky) which we will then fire and glaze for you in your choice of colours.

Hand building · 4 weeks
4-week introduction to clay
4 two hour workshops
This course takes you through the fundamentals of hand building with clay, from coiling to pinching to slab building.
The course includes 4 two hour workshops, clay and bisque firing costs.
Participants then have the opportunity to book in to decorate their pots and have them glaze fired for a small additional fee.

Throughout the year we will explore different creative techniques and projects via individual workshops such as ceramic pumpkin carving, jug making, seasonal decorations, stoneware glazes, etc.

Ceramic pumpkin carving
This is an adult workshop from 7-9pm on Tuesday 13th October including greenware 28cm pumpkin, inspo and guidance on carving, a hot chocolate and treats as well as glazing and firing. The perfect way to spend an autumn evening with friends.
